Have you ever had the fire department help you fan out your kitchen when you burnt dinner or had them check your smoke detectors?
Have you ever waved to the men and women in the fire trucks at a parade and wondered how they do it?Or why?
Have you ever seen someone who needed help but didn’t know what to do, so you called 911? Have you ever been that person in need of help yourself?
If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then we hope to see you at the Kennett Library next Thursday at 6:30pm for a movie screening of “Odd Hours, No Pay, Cool Hats”, a documentary exploring the selfless and extraordinary work of volunteer fire companies across America.
Doors open at 6pm to meet your local first responders while you grab a slice of pizza (generously donated by Giordano's) before the show.
