Members from the Longwood Fire Company recently trained with firefighting foam. Foam has several applications in the fire service, the primary usage being at fires involving flammable liquids and hazardous materials. Captain Adam Cressman led a discussion covering the different types of foam, it's usage, application, and various means of distribution.

Crews then all received hands on time and compared the quality of foam through vaious nozzles and hoselines. The LFC responds to approximately 500 fire/rescue calls each year and is proud of our comprehensive training program which prepares our members for mitigating the wide variety of situations which we face.
