EMS Lieutenant Matthew Eick and his wife Lindsey attended the 30th Annual Mushroom Festival Gala on April 17th to receive a Grant on behalf on the company. Longwood was one of many Kennett area community organizations to receive a grant at the appreciation dinner. This Gala is put on annually to highlight the great things that the festival does for our community. Each year the profits from the fall weekend events are in turn awarded to local non-profits in the spring. This year approximately $80,000 was awarded through the grant program. Longwood is very greatful for this award and will be using the funds to upgrade their patient stretchers on the ambulances. We look forward to participating at the festival again this fall.
