In the late afternoon hours the Company was alerted for a brush fire in the Unit block of Twin Turns Lane.

Brush 25 responded and was immediately advised by Fireboard that the brush fire extended into the dwelling and that they were filling out the box. The structure box added Delco 59, Po-Mar-Lin Fire Company for the full company, Tower 24 (Kennett Fire Co.) and Good Will Fire Company for the RIT assignment.

Brush 25 arrived and reported a two story, single family dwelling with a heavy volume of smoke showing from the garage. Deputy 25 (Ruoss) arrived and assumed Twin Turns Command.

E-25-1 (Wells) arrived and secured a water supply across from the structure. E-25-1 stretched the 250ft 1.75" line to the garage and initiated a fire attack. The crew then split and stretched a second 200ft 1.75" line to Division 2 to stop the advancing fire.

Rescue 25 (Shone) arrived and assumed the first due special service assignment. The Rescue crew completed a primary search and began to open up the garage to expose a significant fire in the crawl space.

Delco 59-2 assisted with throwing portable ladders and reported to Div. 2 to open up the walls.

Tower 24 completed vertical ventilation on the garage. Remaining units were assigned to overhaul in both the garage and the house.

A quick response held the fire to the garage and D side wall of the 2 story house.

The fire is currently being investigated by the Chester County Fire Marshal's office.

Thanks to Avondale E-23-1 for covering the first due.
