MICU 25-1 arrived onscene to find a Cadillac versus a Tractor Trailer with one patient trapped in the Cadillac. Engine 25-2 with a crew of 4 volunteers arrived and immediately begain stabilizing the vehicle. Lieutenant 25A assumed Command 25 and Captain 25A assumed the Operations role. Rescue 25 responded minutes later and assisted the Engine crew with using the Jaws of Life to extricate the patient. Extrication of the patient was completed 23 minutes after dispatch and MICU 25-1 transported the patient to Christiana. The Engine and Rescue crews returned to the station while Utility 25 remained onscene to assist the Kennett Township Police Department and Blittersdorf's Towing with removal of the tractor trailer.
